Bonjour my friends!
Here I am again to share with you some pictures of my latest Simcas Chambord.

This is one of the factory cars entered by Simca do Brasil in the first 24 Hours of Interlagos, in 1960:

Bird Clemente and Ciro Cayres driven this car.

The bumpers were fixed with micro hexagonal screws

Bird Clemente "kindly" nicknamed this car as "the schrimp", due to its combination of colors. Smile

According to Bird Clemente, the car was very nice to drive, but suffered from brake issues during the race, (thanks to the aggressive drive of Ciro Cayres)..

The other one is something more "radical"..

This is the Simca Chambord "carreterera version" which Jayme Silva and Ciro Cayres won the 1600Km of Interlagos in 1963

This was also a factory car which had some factory modifications to loose weight and improve the stability as such as chopped roof, no rear doors(actually soldered to the body) and a lower suspension adjustment.

Since the carreteras and the factory cars in general here were not that shining finish, I decided to apply some weathering on it. Smile

Tamiya paints and AK-interactive accessories were used for the body and weathering

Driver head came from Immense Miniatures

Later I will post fotos of an even more radical Simca Carretera.Smile

Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Merci!! Okay

Thank you for your comments Smile

I've added further pictures for you below.
This was the most radical "carretera" Simca do Brasil put on track:

It was named Carretera "Tufão". It was even more low, with shortened wheelbase a stronger motor and four speed gearbox (no reverse)

It used Simca Abarth wheels/tires as well

The front end was something unusual (not to say ugly..) due to the headlight covers instalation in place of the original lights..

There were also some louvres in the hood to help cooling of the engine.

With this car, Jayme Silva won the first race of the car, the 3 Hours of Recife in 1965.

Hope you like the pictures. Smile

Merci!
